The day still has the same number of hours. What we can do in those hours has changed.
AI can help us get more development work done. For a small idea, that can mean having something working while the conversation that started it is still fresh.
Imagine noticing a problem during a morning meeting: everyone spends time comparing the same two reports. You have an idea for a small tool. With AI helping you build it, you could have a first version running by lunch. Try it on sample data, check what it gets wrong, and show it to the people who would use it.
Waiting to be told what to do should not be the default. You noticed the problem. You have a way to test a solution. Start there.
Good ideas can come from fresh perspectives. The person who sees an unnecessary step may be someone who has not yet learned to accept it. Give that observation a working version and let others react to it.
Some ideas will fail. Some will need more work than expected. A small experiment gives you something to judge, and you can stop when it is not useful.
If you keep thinking about trying an idea, try it. Build the small version. Check it. See what happens.
